How MPS Shock Works

Potassium monopersulfate is a powerful oxidizer that breaks down organic contaminants at the molecular level — converting body oils, lotions, cosmetics, and perspiration into harmless compounds. Unlike chlorine shock, MPS does not produce chloramines (the compounds that cause “chlorine smell” and eye irritation), and it allows bathers to return to the water much sooner after treatment.

When to Use

Apply PristinePower every 1–2 weeks based on how frequently your spa is used. Heavier bather loads require more frequent treatment. Add directly to spa water with the circulation pump running and allow adequate circulation before re-entering. PristinePower is an oxidizer, not a sanitizer — always use alongside an EPA-registered sanitizer such as PristineBlue or chlorine.
